18 Pounds To Go!

I'm so Happy I'm only 18 pounds from my goal weight and 10 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy size! If I lose this weight before June I would have lost 50 pounds in one year! It feels so great to finally get back on track now that my daughter is 17 almost 18 months old she entertains herself most of the day so it give me time to prepare healthy meals and time to do my exercise.

New Year's Resolution

No comments:
Christmas will be here before we know it, and so will New Year's which starts to leave people thinking about their New Year's resolutions. Most of us make them but how often do we actually go through with them?? We usually work towards our resolution for the first 2 months and then just give up or find ourselves forgetting. No wonder with this busy world it's hard to get around to things like giving ourselves a treat once in awhile. I find it hard to treat myself to nice things I have a now 16 month old little girl and a part-time job, but my husband and I work opposite shifts (Me 2nd him 3rd) so it makes it hard to get any "me" time because when he's working I'm asleep and when I wake up he's getting home and going to sleep and by times he wakes up I have to go to work. It's a never ending train, we're lucky if we get the same day off once a month. When I get a day off I'm working on stuff for my shop and making supper and playing catch up on cleaning the house. I'm completely off subject, my point was it's hard to keep going with our New Year's resolution with how busy we can all get.

My New Year's Resolution this year is to lose the remaining 20 pounds I have left from pregnancy. My other one which I have had for almost every year since I was in 3rd grade is to stop biting my nails but this year, unlike others, I have my daughter as motivation. She has started to bite her nails because she see's me do that and I want to stop myself from doing it before she makes her own habit out of it. If anyone had any good suggestions to help me with any of these I am all ears!

Donating Plasma

No comments:
Yesterday I donated some more plasma, I've been doing it as often as they allow which is twice a week every week. I've been doing that for about the past month now but I'll be taking a week break at the end of the month I don't think I should be doing it so often the machine keeps stopping which means my veins aren't taking it so well so a little vacation from it should help. Problem is I can only donate from my right arm because my left one doesn't do well at all and I always end up with a huge bruise and they have to move the needle around in my arm to get the vein :-/ Doesn't exactly feel good lol. I donate at BioLife Plasma Services, if you click the words it'll take you to the "find a donation center" page to see if there is one near you. If not there are other companies that you can donate plasma too but be sure to read all the information they give you. Donating is for healthy adults so if you would like to do it give it a try, they compensate you for your time. I make $240 a month if I donate twice a week every week that month. The money isn't the only reason I do it, I read some of the stories of the people who recieve medicine from our plasma donation and it touched my heart, you can take a look at a couple of the stories if you click HERE.
